Crimson
Eternal light caresses With velvet fingertips And upon your lips A smile To treasure Where this binding night Cannot your life and mine Even for a time Defile or Dissever We shall go when crimson drops Are falling from the sun When the end's begun And now Is forever We shall not return For our earthly paths shall be Swallowed by a sea Of flame Transcendent

I toyed a bit with the poem, re-posted below, mea culpa
Eternal light caresses
With velvet fingertips
And upon your lips
A smile To treasure
Where this binding night
Can defile neither your life
nor mine, not even for a clocktick
or cut us apart.
We shall go when crimson drops
are falling from the sun--
when the end's begun--
when now becomes forever
We shall not return
from the swallowing darkness--
from the all-swallowing sea of Time--
from The Eternity of Now.
